Serving Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties

Important COVID-19 Notice

The 20th Judicial Circuit Courthouses remain open, however we ask that only those with official court business, scheduled proceedings, and appointments visit any of our courthouses or court facilities. Pursuant to Florida Supreme Court Order AOSC20-32 and 20th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order 2.39, the public, staff, and all who enter court buildings within the 20th Circuit (Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties) will need to bring and wear face masks or appropriate face coverings and be subject to a health and safety screening. While inside and outside the courthouses, people must maintain six feet of distance from others to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please see AO 2.39 for more precise details about the Courthouse entry process, social distancing, and health and safety protocols in our Operational Plan (AO 2.39).

Remote technology is strongly encouraged and will still be used as an alternative to in-person proceedings to limit and minimize person-to-person contact.

Beginning Monday June 8, 2020 the entrance to the Hendry County Courthouse will be moved to the courtyard Judicial Wing door. All foot traffic will be directed to enter through the courtyard into the entrance under the awning. Health and Security screenings will be conducted at this entrance. The door to the parking lot across from McDonalds off of Main Street will be the exit from the Courthouse Facility.
