Governor Jeb Bush appointed Judge Christine Greider to the Collier County Court in April 2006.

Judge Greider has been a resident of Collier County since 1973. A graduate of Lely High School, Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from Stetson University. She is an honors graduate from the University of Florida College of Law and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1986.

During her first 11 years as a lawyer, Judge Greider practiced family law in Collier County and was Florida Bar Board Certified in Marital and Family Law. During the last nine years of her legal career, she served as an Assistant State Attorney for State Attorneys Joseph P. D'Alessandro and Stephen B. Russell as a Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse prosecutor. Prior to her appointment to the County Bench, Judge Greider was the supervisor of the Misdemeanor, Juvenile and Domestic Violence divisions of the State Attorney's Office. She was recognized as the Assistant State Attorney of the Year for the 20th Judicial Circuit in 1999.

Judge Greider was President of the Collier County Bar in 1996-1997. She also was recipient of the Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the 20th Judicial Circuit in 1994. The Collier County Women's Bar Association recognized her as Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2001.

Judge Greider is married to Dr. David Greider. She has two stepchildren and a granddaughter.
