Judge Reichling is a proud third-generation Floridian who was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis on January 7, 2025 to serve as a Circuit Judge in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit.
Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Reichling spent a combined 14 years as a State and Federal Prosecutor, serving as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office – Southern District of Florida, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office – Middle District of Florida (Fort Myers Division).
As a prosecutor, Judge Reichling investigated and prosecuted violent crime, drug trafficking offenses, public corruption, civil rights offenses, human trafficking, organized crime, Ponzi schemes, elder fraud, tax evasion, and COVID relief fraud, among other state and federal offenses. Additionally, as a prosecutor, Judge Reichling gained valuable trial experience, trying dozens of cases to verdict.
Off the bench, Judge Reichling spends his time giving back to the community as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast and as a board member of the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
Judge Reichling obtained his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Mercer University.
In his free time, Judge Reichling enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children.
