Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) is a self-help program established in 1994 to assist self-represented parties file petitions for Injunctions for Protection. Staff provide guidance on court processes and procedures, statutory information, Florida Supreme Court forms and general information on community resources.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING LEE COUNTY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE UNIT

Effective Monday, March 14, 2022, petitions for injunctions in Lee County (Domestic Violence, DV Children, Sexual Violence, Dating Violence, Stalking and Repeat Violence) must be filed with the Lee County Clerk of Court’s office, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Lee County Justice Center. Also, all related forms such as Request for Confidential Address, Supplemental Petitions, Motions, and Petitions by Affidavit for Order to Show Cause must be filed with the Lee County Clerk of Court. The Domestic Violence Unit in Lee County will no longer be accepting paperwork in its office, however, it will continue to provide case management services.
