Chief Judge's Registry of Attorneys for Court Appointments
Section 27.40, Florida Statues, requires the chief judge of the judicial circuit to compile a list of attorneys in private practice, by category of cases, who are available for appointment when the public defender and the office of criminal conflict and civil regional counsel are unable to provide representation due to a conflict of interest. This list consists of attorneys in private practice.
