Judge Alane Laboda received her Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University in 1989 and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami in 1992. Judge Laboda began her career in October of 1992 at the State Attorney's Office in Lee County. In 1997, she joined the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes, and Holt, P.A., where she practiced as a partner in the areas of criminal and civil litigation.
Judge Laboda was appointed by then-Governor Charlie Crist on July 29, 2008. Since her appointment she has had the opportunity to preside over multiple divisions in several different counties in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit. In 2015, she was selected to serve as Administrative Judge in the General Civil and Guardianship Division, where she continues to preside in Lee County.
