Judge Bell received his BA from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and his JD from South Texas college of Law in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of both the Florida and the National Judicial College. Judge Bell was in private practice prior to being elected County Judge in 2000.
Born in Olean, New York, Judge Bell has lived primarily in Charlotte County, Florida, since 1961. He is married with seven children and two grandchildren.
